Kobe beef....

Before he left, Brian informed me that there was some steak in the freezer I could make for dinner if I wanted to....well that "steak" happened to be Kobe Beef Filets, which might possibly be the BEST steak in the world. The owner of the Carp gives steak out to the players on occasion, so we were lucky enough to have about 15 of them in the freezer! I thawed it out, and marinaded it all day in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar and fresh garlic. (I also read that it requires no seasoning, so I probably messed it up right then..) Anyways, I Googled how to cook it, and I found some pretty specific instructions that I followed and all I can say now is that I am ruined for life. Growing up on a Ranch, I have eaten awesome beef all of my life, but this catapults beef to a whole new dimension of yumminess. This is definitely a  delicacy. I was in awe the whole time I was eating, it literally felt like butter in my mouth. I had to take a couple pictures since this is a day I will always remember!!! lol!

Seared on both sides and then threw into the oven for a few minutes! Success since it was convection oven with the degrees in centigrade!!

cut with a fork!
