Memphrica....

Boooo--
Just wanted to write a quick note and let ya'll know that Brian will be joining the Redbirds again tomorrow :( Hope its not a long stay down in Memphis because Ava and I are not too fond of that city so I will most likely forfeit my airline ticket for tomorrow (my plans to leave averie with nana + papa for 2 weeks, go to KC and NY, spend quality time with Brian, see Wicked on Broadway, etc are down the drain now-thanks cards!) and stay here in Oregon for a couple more weeks til we know what's going on! It's true, you can never plan ANYTHING in this lifestyle.....argh!
I am hopeful Brian will be back up soon- the thought of 3 house payments does not excite me at all!
Please keep the Barden's in your prayers :)

Hugs-
ash

  1. WHAT???? I'm so sorry. Unbelieveable. Baseball has so many hardships that are truly unexplainable to the families. I hate that so much. I hate that for your trip too. That ALWAYS happened when I planned a trip (ecept it was always Dallas getting hurt!!) At least you are with family. If you do go to Memphis (even though I hope you don't) we need to meet up!!

  3. So sorry. I know it's frustrating. AND the 3 house pymnt thing is nooo fun... been there. Your NY trip is still a couple weeks away, maybe he will be back up soon. I'm guessing he had options... isn't that fun. It's a happy thing when those are gone, and you're not the one getting tossed around anymore. Enjoy your special time with family!

  4. We are thinking of you guys! Brian deserves to be up there, so hopefully it won't be long. Miss you guys and love all your pictures. Av is getting so big! I actually just looked at the pictures from that Mother's Day you all spent at our house. How fun was that? Time sure flies! Love you lots!

  5. Life's full of highs and lows, and many ups and downs. We've definitely been there, too (although not quite at that level). Thinking of you... and hoping many more "ups" are around the corner!

  6. How frustrating! Scott was just talking about how great Brian was doing so hopefully this won't last long. I know it's hard being at the team's mercy. :( How do people survive that lifestyle not clinging to the fact that God is in control???
