turkey cabbage rolls|YUMMY

My friend thru a friend, Shauna made this one night while she was visiting from AZ- it was love @ first bite!!! I am copying the recipe just as she sent it!! I am making as I type and I can't wait to dig in (in the meantime, I am having a bottle glass of cab)

"buy ground turkey - buy ricotta cheese - buy or make homemade spag sauce - I buy the one with mushrooms - chop up garlic and onions and sweat them in olive oil. . . add lean ground turkey - season with salt pepper and any other spices you like - I add louisiana hot sauce and jalepenos diced. . . green chiles would be good too. Then mix the cooked turkey and ricotta together - 2 parts meat 1 part cheese. then steam cabbage - any kind of big leaf cabbage for approximately 1 min - just enough to soften and brighten. Then scoop mix into leaves, roll, hold together with toothpick if needed. pour on sauce over rolls in casserole dish and bake for as long as you thin you would like 10-20- 30 min . . . cover with foil undo at end and sprinkle cheese like parmesan over for last 5 min. you can get as creative as you want with this recipe!!

FYI- I used ground turkey breast and fat free ricotta cheese*
