Morning! We are pretty much settled in here in Hallandale Beach, FL!! Our condo is definitely decorated like a European Bachelor pad {our bldg is about, ummm 95% euros & every toilet has an {add-on} bidet that we have yet to figure out how to use...oh wait I take that back, Ava figured it out and squirted Brian in the leg...lol} but it will work fine for a few months! I can't complain too much, i mean, the beach is literally our backyard!! We have had an awesome homestand- and by that I mean us; ava, brian and I- not the team! The Padres came to town, so we got to hang out with our old friends- Jill & Scott Hairston- they were staying at a hotel literally 2 blocks away, so it was very convenient!! Brian got to play- yes, he got to play and even start once- he made an awesome play that happened to be #1 on Baseball Tonight's webgem segment!! ( See what happens when he gets to play, he has no choice but to make awesome plays....has to make up for the 25 games prior that he didn't play) LOL
We are on our 2nd -day game- day off- of this homestand- I love whomever made this schedule!! I think for the day off tomorrow, we may go hang out at the Hard Rock Hotel with some other people and let the kids (and adults) play in the pool all day!!
Ava got her 1st haircut- I have been wanting to cut it for awhile and each time we would decide to go get a 'bob', she would change her mind and say she wanted her hair down to her feet!! But, this time was different, she said she wanted her hair going over her eye, like her cousin Alexa's used to be...so i told her that if we cut it into a cute A-line, it would for sure go over her eye (remember, i am talking to a 3 year old, not a teenager)! I took her to a kids cut place that was a little ghetto but they got the job done!!! The other kids getting cuts where screaming, crying, resisting the bribery of candy from their parents, all the while Ava is staring blankly ahead at the movie she picked out (Ariel) probably wondering why the he** i took her here instead of a regular salon!! :)
Her cut is adorable and it def brought out some major sassiness she had stored away somewhere...man, this chick has some 'tude!!!
It was also bark in the park- Here in Miami, they let you bring your dog any type, weight etc as long as you sit up in the 400 level...which happens to be the steepest, most crowded section of the park! We sat up there for a few innings and that was enough! The smell alone could have driven us out, but Ava had heard that Pam, (Fredi, the manager's wife) was in town and she wouldn't stop talking about seeing her, so we had to leave the stinky dog seats in search for Ava's new middle aged best friend!!!
Here are some pics from this past week of fun, chaos and what we call 'life'!
xoxo
Simply AMAZING!
